Ice Cream Chocolate Coating Mixing system – Dairy Maid, Midrand, Johannesburg

 

Background
The Dairy Maid process engineering team met Anderson Engineering at Propak 2016 and here they indicated their need for a new turnkey mixing plant for the chocolate coating element of their ice cream manufacturing plant.

The project
The project entailed a vacuum mixing tank together with a powder blender and a premix tank.

Included in the project:

  • Powder blender (gravity blender)
  • Glucose pre-weigh tank
  • Mixing vessel
  • Associated valves and pipework
  • Electrical and control system
  • Water Chilling System

The project was commissioned early in 2017 and was installed early September. The official commissioning and hand over took place on the 18th September 2017.
