Anderson Engineering appoints new Managing Director, Hennie de Jager

Anderson Engineering, who is currently celebrating their 60 year anniversary, is very pleased to announce, the appointment of Hennie de Jager as the new Managing Director of the company, effective immediately. Hans Coertse, who has been at the helm of the company for the last 22 years, has been on a journey of succession planning for several years. He is therefore delighted with the appointment and extremely excited for the future of the company under Hennie’s guidance. Hans will remain involved in the business while working alongside Hennie in a strong mentorship role.

Hennie brings more than 24 years experience in steel and manufacturing to the role. He joins the business from SA Calcium Carbide where he, most recently, fulfilled the role of Commercial Manager in charge of a global sales team. Previous to this he had held long-standing positions at the company as both the Procurement and Production Manager. His great depth and breadth of experience is going to be invaluable to the Anderson business.

There were many aspects about Hennie that made him extremely competent to take on the role, but what really stood out, was his high ethical standards and moral values. Over the years, Hans has built a company with extremely strong values that underpin everything the company does. The alignment of these values was extremely important to the company to ensure another 60 year legacy is built.

With the guidance and counsel of Hans, the appointment of Hennie as MD, and the many bright young professionals working in the business, the company is extremely well positioned to grow from strength to strength.

Hennie is married to Anri and they have three beautiful daughters. The family has relocated from Newcastle and we wish them all the very best in to their new life in Pietermaritzburg. We trust that everyone will give Hennie the support he needs as he settles into his new role.
